    SNAP Application Assistance

    Flint  Hills Breadbasket staff offer assistance to SNAP-eligible individuals and households to complete the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program application. This help is provided to make it easier and faster to get signed up for SNAP benefits. Call 785-537-0730 for an appointment.

  • Blessing Box locations

    A network of small outdoor food pantries that serve those in need 24/7. If you need a blessing, donations are available. If you are blessed, leave a blessing.

    The bottom line is that no one should be hungry. Common Table invites everyone to join us for a hot meal in peace and with dignity. 

    Meals are served seven nights a week at 6pm in the cafeteria at the Lincoln Education Center, 901 Poyntz Avenue.

    Enter the cafeteria through door #6 which is located in the courtyard on the south side of the building at the west end.

    Doors open nightly at 5:30pm. Dinner is served at 6pm. Doors close at 7pm.

    Common Table is currently not providing to go meals and is not providing sack lunches for the next day.

    Breakfasts are still being served at Vineyard Community Church, 2400 Casement Road (Sundays 9:45-10:30am); First Presbyterian Church, 801 Leavenworth (Wednesdays 7:30-8:15am); and St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 601 Poyntz (Tuesdays and Fridays 7-8:30am).

    Life Choice Ministries offers free pregnancy testing, emotional support, prenatal and parenting classes, practical help, professional counseling, and facilitation of private adoption. All services and programs value women and provide a safe and confidential environment.

    Our Emergency Financial Assistance Program aims to provide support to individuals and families facing crises in the Northern Kansas community.

    • Financial Assistance: We may be able to offer up to $150 in a one-year period for rent, utilities, and/or prescriptions, depending on the availability of funds and your qualifying status.

    • Application Process: To access our Emergency Financial Assistance, download and complete the application provided below. Applications are also available at any of our three office locations.

    • Over-the-phone support with referral to community resources or a recommendation to engage in stabilization services.

    • In-person support via mobile crisis response.
